Catawba Walleye Fishing Charter
With a very stiff wind today’s walleye charter would be fishing near Port Clinton, Ohio. The ride to the west towards Catawba was a little rough. We kept a slow pace with the strong East winds. Clearing the corner of Catawba, the waves diminished. We were able to finish the rest of our travel time in comfort and some speed. Setting up in a southwest troll we set our leads at 25-40 back with Michigan Spoons and Tru Trip Jets. The speed was the usual 1.9-2.3 mph and it didn’t take long to figure out the fish. With some help from a few friends that had a small head start in the area we managed a full boat limit of 30 Lake Erie Walleye in short order. The Catawba Walleye Fishing Charter was a success. We had some happy clients that are sure to become part of our family.
The fishing was great and a nice grade of 18” eaters filled the cooler with plenty of time to spare for the charter. Today was the last planned day of trolling for a while and I am looking forward to some time spent casting for Lake Erie Walleye. Its always nice to fish some different water and change the scenery.
