Sept 28

We welcomed new clients bright and early for a day of Lake Erie Charter fishing for a group of 5 brothers and their dad.  This family books a fishing trip once a year where they all gather for a relaxing couple days of time together.  Aaron who booked the trip wanted to inform me that they wanted to spend a day catching fish and having fun, they found both.  It was clear to me on the ride to our location that the experience was more important to them than catching.  I had Alex running as a first mate and setting the gear was very smooth with this crew, they had never trolled on Lake Erie before but caught on very quickly. The location that we had been fishing the last couple trips proved to be a bust, with some friends starting slow in shallower water I made the choice to turn North and hunt for fish in some deeper water.  As we approached 38’ of water the clarity improved and the fishing turned on.  After about 2 hours with only 1 fish in the cooler, it was clear to me that we were now in the right spot.  We managed to put 37 more Lake Erie Walleye in the cooler during the rest of our trip.  Michigan Spoons in orange, green and yellow combinations were also the key on this trip to having the crew reach their limit.  We experienced no tangles, had a blast and caught fish at a nice steady pace.  I doubt that I will see this group again because they choose a different location each year but I hope they make their way back to us at some point.  I always enjoy fishing with groups like these sportsmen and wish them well on their next fishing adventure.  Walleye fishing with Michigan Stinger spoons and Tru Trips at 2.4-2.6 mph did the best today.

We hope to be your choice for Lake Erie Charter Fishing
