I remember my dad would spend weeks during the winter months planning out a family vacation each year, brochures spread out over the kitchen table, scratch paper with costs, and attractions that each one of us would enjoy.  My favorite was always fishing if you can believe it and there was always a pond or nearby lake that I would spend countless hours casting for anything that I could catch.  In today’s world the same task can be accomplished with much less stress and effort.  It can be as simple as a quick internet search for what your family interests are, we hope that you are searching for Old Lakeshore Charters for your family vacation.  We offer a great family adventure for the novice or experienced fishermen.  As a Lake Erie Fishing Charter based out of Marblehead Ohio we are close to many other great attractions for those that don’t love fishing as much as some of us.  The area is full of outdoor or indoor events that are sure to be enjoyable for everyone.

We offer full day Walleye trips or half day Yellow Perch trips that have flexible start times and we provide everything needed to have a day filled with catching fish and seeing the sights of Lake Erie.  We often times fish near the islands so plenty of beautiful views are your backdrop while we spend the day catching fish.  The boat we fish from is a 30’ Sportcraft named “Erie Breeze” that provides ample fishing room, covered top, private bathroom, cabin and storage for all your coolers.  We do suggest bringing food and drinks for the day for your family as that is the only thing that isn’t provided.

Some of the local Water Park attractions within a short driving distance include Cedar Point, Kalahari, Maui Sands, and Monsoon Lagoon to spend some time cooling off during the hot summer months.  The Lake Erie Islands are also close and can be accessed by a short ferry ride; some of the ferries can even accommodate travel to the islands with your car.  This provides a way to travel around the island or golf cart rental is available for a small fee.  Whichever transport method you choose; the sights of each island are each unique, plenty of attractions to see or spend the day relaxing on the beach.
